Last fall, SFF learned they were awarded the grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. The grant, valued at $18,705.85, provided 15 Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) for the Salem community. In trained hands, these devices will help to improve community survival rates of sudden cardiac arrest, which is responsible for 383,000 deaths a year.
Thanks to its generous donors like Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, SFF has already placed over 30 AEDs in highly trafficked areas of the city, ready for when a crisis occurs.
