Salem Fire Foundation Honored for Partnership with Salem-Keizer School Board
On November 13, 2018, the Salem-Keizer School Board honored the Salem Fire Foundation and the Salem Fire Department. They received the Spotlight on Success Community Partner Recognition for November for their contribution to the School District through the CPR/AED Training Program for 8th Graders. Director of Middle Schools, Matt Biondi, introduced the award.
“The Salem Fire Foundation needs about $50,000 a year to make this happen and those wishing to help with this important work can contribute by visiting the foundation’s website at Salem Fire Foundation.com,” Biondi said.
He added, “On a personal note for as a middle school director, I can’t thank the Fire Department and Foundation enough…it has been absolutely seamless.”
School Board President Kathy Goss handed the award to Salem Fire Chief Mike Niblock, who attended the meeting with Willy Giddings, EMT-P, and Salem Fire Foundation Board Member Ray Sagner, CFP®.
