Walker Joins Board of Salem Fire Foundation
Salem, Oregon (April 10, 2016) The Salem Fire Foundation (SFF) proudly announces the addition of Kirk Walker, M.D., FACC, FSCAI to their board of directors. Walker previously served as a member of the SFF advisory board as a founding member, leading the student training initiative with Terri Walker, OD.
Walker founded Cascade Cardiology in Salem in 2003. Dr. Walker is board certified in General Cardiology as well as Interventional Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), as well as a Fellow of the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Intervention (FSCAI). Additionally, he is a member of the Oregon Medical Association, Marion/Polk County Medical Society, and Mid-Valley Independent Physicians Association (MVIPA).
Dr. Walker is quite active in the community. He has served as President of the Salem Hospital Medical Staff (2004-2005), the Salem Hospital Credentials Committee (2005-2007), the board of directors at MVIPA (2000-2010) and served as the President of MVIPA from 2006-2008. He was Chairman of the ACC Advocacy Committee (2008-2011) and a member of the Oregon Medical Association’s Legislative Committee (2008-2011).
Dr. Walker and his wife, Terri, have a son, Connor and a daughter, Alicia. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and attending the Professional MBA Program at Willamette University with his wife.
