Farewell to Salem Fire Chief, Mike Niblock
Retirement letter from the Fire Chief:
“After nearly 20 years of service with the Salem Fire Department and almost 39 years in the fire service, I have decided that it’s time for me to move on. I have been incredibly blessed and honored to serve as the City of Salem Fire Chief for 15 years. I have many fond memories of all the people that made my time here enjoyable. It’s those personal relationships that make this decision a hard one; however, I have always believed that everyone has a circle of influence, and that circle eventually closes. It’s time for a new Chief to build upon the foundation established at the Saelm Fire Department. This organization is full of great people with a heart to serve others and care for one another.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve our community.
Sincerely,
Mike Niblock, Fire Chief”
Fire Chief Mike Niblock will be officially retiring at the end of September. We are so grateful to have seen what he has done for the community and to have worked alongside him with the Foundation. Thank you, Chief Niblock, for all you have done.
