Stay Home, Stay Safe and Support the Salem Fire Foundation

Thank you! You have been a strong supporter of the Salem Fire Department (SFD) firefighters and administrative staff. We want to let you know that they appreciate it very much and we are all concerned about the health of Salem citizens.

During the quarantine period, people continue to need the support of first responders and with the serious health threat facing citizens, they are working harder than ever.

The Salem Fire Foundation (SFF) recently held a Zoom board meeting and Deputy Chief Gabe Benmoussa gave us the following information:

  • The Emergency Operation Center is open and staff is engaged in training (especially activities related to COVID-19).
  • Everyone in the Department is healthy at this time.
  • The Pulsepoint App has a record 18,256 followers with 9,262 agreeing to get CPR alerts.
  • The Department has helped formed a mobile health team.

Today, the SFF is raising funds to assist firefighters and support programs as well as the newly-formed Alluvium Mobile Health Team. This will be a joint effort between the Salem Fire Department, Falck Ambulance and medical professionals to assist with medical treatment for those in need in the community including those who are experiencing homelessness.

Now you have an opportunity to provide your support to Salem Firefighters through a charitable donation to their foundation – The Salem Fire Foundation.

Become a sustaining donor today of SFF. Your donation of even a few dollars a month will help us meet the needs of our Salem Firefighters.

Your donation of any amount can help. You can also sign up to make a monthly donation.
