Every day, firefighters put their lives on the line to protect their communities. When their homes and families are affected by hardships, we want to help.
The Salem Fire Foundation’s mission states:
We aim “to promote community support for the Salem Fire Department. Our vision is to enhance public safety and quality of life in our community by supporting the Salem Fire Department members in their mission of saving lives.”
The Salem Fire Foundation’s Benevolent Fund is a safety net for our heroes and their loved ones.
Recently, The Salem Fire Foundation provided a $10,000 donation to the family of a firefighter who was dying from cancer. The funds were sent to the firefighter and his family directly, three days before his passing. This contribution helped the family with funeral arrangements and expenses before funding life insurance, and city payout of benefits was disbursed.
These funds were a great relief to the family during a difficult time. Your donation goes directly to those who need it the most.
